Alla bella Victoria si oppone Kika. Che, come tutte le eroine di Almodovar, vive di fantasia e - soprattutto - di bei colori saturati: finirà per farcela poiché, come sappiamo, tutti gli eroi almodovariani muoiono soltanto per poter essere finalmente amati. E qui non era il caso.

Scosso forse dalla critiche che volevano i suoi due ultimi LEGAMI e TACCHI A SPILLO eccessivamente inquinati dalle concessioni al box-office internazionale, Almodovar ha voluto incattivire i toni. Anche se condotta con la coerenza che gli è stata sempre riconosciuta non è detto che l'operazione - un po' lunghetta - gli sia riuscita appieno. Anche per un ex mago delle notti madrilene non è così semplice reindossare le vesti del lupo, dopo averle barattate con quelle dell'agnello.
